Peter B. Doherty Urologic Cancer Center at Morristown Medical Center and the Urologic Cancer Program at Overlook Medical Center provide a full array of innovative treatment options for men’s and women’s genito-urologic cancers – from radical robotic surgery and cryosurgery, to intensity modulated radiation therapy and experimental new drugs. Treatments offered through Carol G. Simon Cancer Center include:
Adrenal tumors
- Minimally invasive removal of adrenal gland and tumor
- Open removal of adrenal gland and tumors
Bladder cancer
- Bladder preserving surgery
- Total bladder removal and urinary diversion (with external bag) using daVinci Surgical System
- Total bladder removal and bladder formation (without external bag)
Kidney cancer
- Kidney resection with daVinci Surgical System for some small kidney tumors
- Kidney preserving surgery
- Minimally invasive laparoscopic total kidney removal surgery for large or intermediate sized kidney tumors
- CyberKnife radiosurgery for the ablation, or destruction, of tumors in the kidney using radiation
