Ben Maisano, Vice President, Chief Digital & Innovation Officer

Ben Maisano is the Vice President, Chief Digital and Innovation Officer for Atlantic Health System. He is responsible for executing the preparation, design, and implementation of Atlantic Health System’s digital roadmap.

He fosters a culture of innovation and experimentation in the technology space that delivers world-class user experiences and improved clinical outcomes through a unified platform and product approach.

Mr. Maisano oversees digital strategy, working with and aligning leaders to build harmonious, integrated solutions that solve real-world problems and differentiate Atlantic Health System.

He works with clinical and operational partners to tech enable the health system in the areas of telemedicine, consumerism, inpatient care, and all digital engagements that build brand loyalty and improve the patient experience.

Mr. Maisano also leads the system’s venture studio, which looks to evaluate and build strategic partnerships and investments with the startup community, vendors, and other technology collaborators.

Prior to joining Atlantic Health System, Mr. Maisano was Chief Technology Officer and Head of App Engineering and Cloud Strategy at Mount Sinai Health System in New York, where he focused on consumer-facing technology innovation.

Mr. Maisano brings a high-energy entrepreneurial spirit to his work, born from building several startup companies from scratch. In 2011, he served as the VP of Engineering at Andera, a mobile-first loan and account opening system which serviced hundreds of banks and was ultimately sold to a public company.

He then co-founded CareDox, building a platform that connected schools to pediatric providers and families, which raised $60MM and grew to operate in 38 states and manage 4MM health records.

Mr. Maisano earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Management and Information Systems from the University of Connecticut, and his Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering - Enterprise and Web IT Architecture/Security from Fairfield University.
