O. Scott Lauter, MD, MBA, FACP, FHM brings to Atlantic Medical Group more than 25 years of experience leading physicians in practices, medical groups and hospitals. As CMO, he is responsible for setting expectations for clinical performance, patient safety, quality improvement and patient experience.
Dr. Lauter skillfully blends business acumen with clinical expertise and is a strong advocate for the health care professionals he serves. He leads the onboarding of all new practices and providers and initiates efforts to improve physician engagement and resilience.
Previously, Dr. Lauter served as Chief Medical Officer at Chilton Medical Center and was the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Lancaster General Hospital. He has also been a managing partner of several medical practices, where he was instrumental in growing and improving the quality of inpatient, outpatient, primary care, referral and consultative care.
After completing his medical education at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Dr. Lauter performed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. Later, he completed an executive master’s degree in business administration at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Dr. Lauter is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatrics and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow in Hospital Medicine.
