Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Movement Disorder Diagnostic Tests and Screenings

Atlantic Neuroscience Institute’s Movement Disorders Program at Overlook Medical Center can determine the specific cause of your symptoms and develop an effective treatment plan. Our multidisciplinary care team will work with you, your family and your referring physician to coordinate your treatment, follow-up care and education, and make referrals to other services you might need. Optimal management of symptoms may also require treatment of behavioral and psychiatric problems.

Our movement disorder diagnostic services include:

  • Brain imaging
    • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
    • Positron emission tomography (PET)
    • Computed tomography (CT)
  • Diagnosis and disease education

When a patient develops a combination of walking, memory and urinary problems, he or she may be referred to our Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus ( NPH) Center. Our specialists will check for NPH using physical exams and cognitive skills tests. A brain MRI scan may also be used to confirm the presence of this condition.
