Sean Sanderson, MD

Sean Sanderson, MD, is a fellowship-trained physiatrist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Sanderson specializes in pain management of various musculoskeletal disorders and spine conditions. He approaches patient care from a multidisciplinary approach, focusing on diagnostic workup of back and neck pain, implementing physical therapy programs and performing interventional spine procedures.
After earning his medical degree at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Sanderson went on to complete a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He then completed an interventional spine and pain management fellowship at Performance Spine and Sports Physicians in Pottstown, PA. He most recently was part of a multidisciplinary comprehensive interventional spine and pain management practice in Maryland where he focused on performing interventional spine procedures including transforaminal epidural steroid injections, diagnostic/therapeutic facet joint injections, and radiofrequency ablations.
Dr. Sanderson has been published on topics in spine treatment including C-arm settings in fluoroscopic guidance transforaminal epidural steroid injections. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization
