Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Cancer Care Patient Stories

Atlantic Health System Cancer Care offers superior cancer care services at Chilton Medical Center, Hackettstown Medical Center, Morristown Medical Center, Newton Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center. See what some of our patients had to say:

I came to the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center not sure I would ever go home. Here I am years later feeling great. There’s no better care anywhere.”

Willard Brown, Carol G. Simon Cancer Center patient

"I might have been broken, but mended rather quickly with my desire to fight and the amazing support system that the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center provided me with." – Bridget Bocchino Hochstuhl, breast cancer patient at Carol G. Simon Cancer Center

“I feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with the wonderful doctors and nurses at Overlook. Fate may have brought me here, but the advanced technology and treatment, along with the caring staff, saved my life.” – Michelle Love, Carol G. Simon Cancer Center patient

“This past year my mother was treated for breast cancer. At the moment, she is  progressing well. During the entire “journey,” the staff at Overlook Medical was remarkably professional and competent.” – Thomas Grady, on behalf of Kathleen Grady, breast cancer patient

“Each day there was a distinct positive sign of recovery, which I believe was due to the very close attention and care around the clock by your very competent staff.” – Bohdan S. Pacholok, Carol G. Simon Cancer Center, colon cancer patient

“When I came home from the day’s surgery, I had on your blue ‘camisole,’ instead of the traditional white surgical binding…Overlook’s little blue camisole for me swells beyond its literal meaning into a metaphor for the thought-filled excellence and caring spirit that characterizes your facility.” – Linda Costanzo Cahir, breast cancer patient
