Clinical Experience

Overlook Medical Center’s Sports Medicine Fellowship provides a diverse clinical experience that consists of:

  • Learning non-operative treatments, physical medicine and rehabilitation options for sports and musculoskeletal injuries
  • Exposure to a variety of injection procedures, including prolotherapy
  • Interventional ultrasound of various peripheral joints, tendons, ligaments and nerves
  • Osteopathic manipulative medicine

In addition, our fellowship is closely affiliated with the orthopedic sports medicine community and numerous high school and college teams, including:

  • Kean University – At Kean, a Division III school, fellows will gain hands-on experience evaluating and treating athletes in the training room and provide coverage for home football and lacrosse games. In addition, fellows will spend time in the training room early in the year. Also, every Wednesday night clinic hours are held at Kean to provide additional care to the athletes.
  • Millburn High School – Fellows will be responsible for medical coverage at home football games. Our office also serves as the school physician's office.
