Wait times represent the average estimated length of time from registration to being assigned a "first provider" (a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant). Times displayed for Atlantic Health Systems are:

  • Reported as an average of wait times for the previous 2 hours of patients that have presented to the emergency department and have been seen by a provider
  • Refreshed at least every 15 minutes

Many circumstances can affect wait times - for example, patients arriving by ambulance or with life-threatening injuries or illnesses. Patients with severe conditions will be seen before those with less-serious problems or ailments. These times are provided for informational purposes only and cannot be guaranteed upon arrival.

Post-Graduate Fellowships

Approximately 50 percent of residents in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Morristown Medical Center pursue fellowship training at the conclusion of their residency training.

The annual Fellowship Workshop provides a timeline and materials to facilitate the applications process for residents, as well as a roundtable discussion with recent fellowship graduates. The many subspecialists at Morristown Medical Center who completed their fellowships at highly-regarded institutions provide residents with excellent letters of recommendation, as well as important contacts.

Graduates within the past five years have also completed fellowships in research (such as cardiac electrophysiology, gastroenterology, and stem cell), palliative care, general internal medicine, rheumatology, sleep medicine, heart failure and sports medicine. In addition, one of our graduates completed his aerospace medicine fellowship at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and another has fulfilled requirements for qualifications in bariatric medicine.
