Applying for Internal Medicine Residency

How do I apply?

We accept only the Electronic Residency Application (ERAS). We are happy to sponsor H1 and J1 visas.

How many letters of recommendation do I need?

Three, in addition to your Dean's letter.

Do all of my letters of recommendation need to be from internists?

No. Letters should come from faculty with whom you have worked closely, and who will be best able to assess your clinical and research abilities. However, we do recommend that at least two of your letters be from an internist or subspecialist of medicine.

Is there a maximum number of letters of recommendations you will accept?

ERAS allows as many letters of recommendation as you feel are necessary. However, no more than four letters may be sent to any individual program.

How will I be notified if I am offered an interview?

Applicants who will be granted interviews will be notified by email from our residency coordinator.

How are interview dates assigned?

Interviews take place mid-November through mid-January. Scheduling is done on a first-come, first-served basis. Although we will do our best to accommodate your schedule, we cannot guarantee the availability of your requests, as each day has a limited number of interviews available.
