If you or a loved one is experiencing a mental health emergency, We offer compassionate, expert support 24/7. Our crisis intervention services are designed to respond rapidly, stabilize immediate concerns, and connect individuals with the right level of care.
Emergency mental health care
We provide immediate assistance for psychiatric emergencies through a combination of crisis hotlines, psychiatric screenings, and on-site interventions. Services include:

24-hour crisis hotlines
Professional crisis therapists are available day and night to provide confidential counseling, assessment, and referral services for mental health or substance misuse emergencies. After an initial assessment, patients are connected with appropriate follow-up care.

Psychiatric emergency services
Newton Medical Center is a state-designated Psychiatric Emergency Services and Screening Center offering 24-hour emergency mental health care by phone or in person. Services include:
- Psychiatric screenings and risk assessments
- Crisis stabilization
- Referrals for follow-up mental health or substance misuse care
- On-site mobile response for community crises when needed
Community crisis and trauma response
In the aftermath of a traumatic or catastrophic event, we provide immediate support for individuals, families, schools, workplaces, and community groups. Our trained teams help those affected begin the healing process through onsite and virtual counseling and support.
