What is VirtualVisitNow?

VirtualVisitNow is a convenient way for you to access care for certain non-emergency conditions. Start a visit and speak with an Atlantic Medical Group doctor from your computer, smartphone or tablet.

When is VirtualVisitNow available?

VirtualVisitNow is available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm Eastern Time. You can schedule an appointment up to 30 minutes in advance or request the next available appointment. Visits are available in 15-minute increments.

How much does it cost?

For patients with insurance, the cost of care will vary depending on copays, co-insurance, deductibles and other fees built into your plan. Please contact your insurance provider to verify if telehealth services are covered by your plan and what associated patient cost sharing may apply.

If you do not have insurance, you can elect to pay a flat rate fee of $49 using your credit card prior to the visit. Simply select flat fee as part of the scheduling process on the insurance screen.

Who can use it?

Anyone in New Jersey can use VirtualVisitNow. You will need a smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera, microphone and speakers.

Who provides these services?

VirtualVisitNow is staffed by Atlantic Health System — including doctors, nurse practitioners and advanced practice nurses — to ensure that you have the same quality of care. Our providers can connect you to local resources and our broader community of care.

Do I need an account to see a doctor online?

For security, you will need a MyChart account to use VirtualVisitNow. It takes a few minutes to register if you do not already have an account. Once you register, you can use the account to schedule future VirtualVisitNow appointments, access test results and more.

How does VirtualVisitNow work?

If you have a MyChart account, log in and select the VirtualVisitNow button. Otherwise you can schedule by selecting the Schedule an Appointment button on the VirtualVisitNow page to be directed to the scheduling and MyChart registration process.

Make sure you have a smartphone (iOS or Android) or a computer with a microphone, camera and speaker. If you are using a smartphone, you will be prompted to install the Zoom app if you do not already have it.

Is online medicine safe?

Yes. Guided by up-to-date clinical practice guidelines, and backed by decades of research and demonstrations, online visits are a safe and cost-effective way to extend the delivery of health care. Atlantic Health System has produced a series of standards, guidelines and best practices for providers to ensure that they are using these online platforms responsibly. This means patients receive the same quality of care as they would during an in-office visit.

Will I be able to get medications refilled in a virtual appointment?

If you need a medication as part of your treatment plan after a VirtualVisitNow appointment, your provider will order the prescription through your local pharmacy. Medications will be administered based on what is medically appropriate and in accordance with state and federal laws.

VirtualVisitNow providers cannot refill controlled substances. You will need to see your primary care or specialty provider for those refills.
