Victor Kizhner, MD

Victor Kizhner, MD, is a fellowship-trained ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist, with Atlantic Medical Group. Board-certified in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, with over 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Kizhner believes the best patients’ outcomes are achieved through a patient-centered and pragmatic approach that values dialogues with his patients. He advocates for only medically necessary procedures that are effective and minimally invasive, whenever possible. He specializes in sleep apnea, sinus surgery, thyroid/ parathyroid and oral malodor causes.
Dr. Kizhner began his medical career after obtaining his medical degree at Tel Aviv University Sackler School of Medicine. He completed his medical residency in Israel and later pursued a double clinical fellowship at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City (currently Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside) in neck endocrine (thyroid/ parathyroid) surgery and in sleep apnea, snoring and rhinology. Since then, Dr. Kizhner held positions as attending physician in the New York area working with one of the most diverse populations and cases. He was appointed an Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai supervising ENT residents at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside hospitals, before joining Atlantic Medical Group.
Dr. Kizhner has authored and published 27 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals, seven book chapters on laser applications in otolaryngology and is a presenter at both national and international medical conferences. He also holds two patents for laser treatment methods and served as principal investigator in clinical trials. His Halitosis (Oral Malodor) Associated Life-Quality Tool was translated and adapted into six languages including Arabic and Portuguese.
Dr. Kizhner is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is fluent in English and Russian. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
