Atlantic Health System Medical Centers Named Top Hospitals in New Jersey By Physicians

Morristown Medical Center named number one hospital in NJ with more than 350 beds
Chilton Medical Center named number one hospital in NJ with less than 350 beds

March 15, 2019, Morristown, NJ – Physicians across New Jersey named Atlantic Health System’s medical centers as the top hospitals in the state, as announced today by renowned health care research and information company Castle Connolly.

Morristown Medical Center has, for the second time in a row, been named the top hospital in the state with more than 350 beds and Chilton Medical Center ranked number one for “Top Hospital Overall” with fewer than 350 beds. This is the fourth year in a row Chilton has earned the top spot in the list published today in Jersey’s Best.

Overlook Medical Center ascended to the number two position in the list of more than 350 beds, while Goryeb Children’s Hospital ranked number two and Newton and Hackettstown medical centers came in at four and five in the list of less than 350 beds, to nearly sweep the top five in this category for Atlantic Health.

Morristown Medical Center was also named the number one hospital in the state across all treatment categories ranked: breast cancerprostate cancerpediatric cancercoronary artery bypass surgeryhip and knee replacementcongestive heart failurestrokeshigh-risk pregnancy and birthneurological disorders, and pain management. Atlantic Health System medical centers placed at or near the top of every treatment category measured.

These results were based on physician votes and reflect Atlantic Health System’s strong reputation from physicians across the state.
