David Mintz, Jr., DO

David Mintz, DO, is a fellowship-trained cardiologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in internal medicine with a subspecialty in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Mintz specializes in treating individuals with advanced heart failure who may require advanced therapies including heart transplantation and LVAD. Additionally, he specializes in the treatment of cardiomyopathy, including infiltrative/inflammatory diseases, genetic and acquired. Dr. Mintz has trained extensively in cardiac critical care, including management of temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support.

After earning his osteopathic medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City, Dr. Mintz completed an internal medicine residency at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts, achieving the Resident of the Year Award from the Lahey Clinic Foundation Department of Medicine. He remained at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center to perform a general cardiology fellowship. Prior to joining AMG, Dr. Mintz completed an advanced heart failure and transplant fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York.

As an active contributor to his field, Dr. Mintz has presented at scientific sessions for both the Society of Vascular Medicine and the Heart Failure Society of America, was a speaker for the Mandel Lecture Series at Lahey Clinic and Medical Center and was a presenter at Montefiore Heart Symposium. His passion for equitable health care has driven him to volunteer at medical mobile clinics in Thomonde, Haiti, and to serve as a mentor for inner-city high school students interested in medical science careers. Dr. Mintz is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
