About me
Myrlande Metellus, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, she specializes in treating patients of all ages from children though the elderly, with compassion and more than 20 years of nursing experience. Prior to joining Atlantic Medical Group, Myrlande worked in various nursing areas including home health care, neurology and respiratory care, medical-surgical, and inpatient clinical services.
After earned a nursing degree from Muhlenberg School of Nursing in Plainfield, NJ, Myrlande attained a bachelor’s degree in nursing as an RN from Felician University in Rutherford, NJ. After serving as a staff nurse for several years, she went on for graduate study, earning a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ.
Myrlande is a strong advocate for community service and has been very actively involved in volunteering assistance in underserved communities including various health fairs, and traveled to Haiti to provide nursing care as part of earthquake relief efforts. She received the Dean’s Award for Community Service at UMDNJ School of Nursing. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association, and the New Jersey State Nurses Association.

She is extremely thorough, personable and I felt like she truly understood and addressed my concerns. I felt she took the time needed and did not rush through the visit, explained in detail the medication prescribed, follow up care and even consulted with another doctor.
