About me
Tyra E. White, MD, is a primary care physician with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, she evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and provides consultation to patients with a wide variety of illnesses, diseases, injuries, and functional disorders. She also assesses, stabilizes, and determines the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services.
Dr. White completed her residency training at Somerset Hospital where she earned the Clinical Excellence Award and led the lecture and wellness committees. During her third year, she practiced at Spravato Treatment Centers of NJ in Bridgwater, NJ. Dr. White earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, graduating cum laude. Prior to medical school, she worked at the UHS Wilson Medical Center Emergency Department as a nursing assistant in Johnson City, NY. She obtained a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Biology at Binghamton University, State University of New York in Binghamton, NY.
Dr. White has presented at several national meetings, is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Student National Medication Association, and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
