Yousaf Mahmood, MD

Dr. Yousaf Mahmood is a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist with Atlantic Medical Group . He is fellowship-trained in vascular and interventional radiology, board certified in diagnostic radiology, and holds a certificate of additional qualifications in vascular and interventional radiology. Prior to joining Atlantic Medical Group Radiology, for more than a decade, he has successfully treated patient in his areas of expertise at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, including establishing one of the first Y90 Radioembolization programs in Brooklyn. He also had extensive experience with OB/Gyn and Woman’s Fertility groups, and treated many woman for symptomatic fibroids with uterine artery embolization that were very pleased with their experience and the results. Dr. Mahmood employs a patient-centric approach, spending time in-person consultations and follow up phone conversation explaining procedural options, discussing post-procedural expectations and planning for follow-up in order to achieve the best experience and results. Dr. Mahmood has presented nationally and internationally on topics related to interventional radiology including the diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer, and has published on collaborative research that he has worked on in the field. Dr. Mahmood earned his degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscatatway, NJ. He completed his residency at Rutgers Medical School, Newark, NJ and pursued a fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Center, Baltimore, MD, known for its expertise in cutting-edge interventional treatments in particular treatment of liver cancers. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
