Whole wheat arugula flatbread

If you’re looking for a healthier way to pizza, try topping a flatbread with baby arugula! Loading on savory greens makes a delicious and balanced meal that’s packed with healthy carbs, fats, fiber and protein. Start with a nutrient-rich flatbread from your grocery store — or make it yourself — and top it with tomato sauce, arugula, and cheese. It’s a binge-worthy combination of flavors!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole wheat flatbread
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp. parmesan cheese
  • 1 to 2 cups baby arugula
  • 1 tsp. olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Assemble pizza by topping the flatbread with tomato sauce, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  3. Bake in oven for about 10 minutes until flatbread is browned and cheese is melted.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the baby arugula, olive oil, and parmesan cheese.
  5. Add arugula mixture to top of pizza.
  6. Enjoy!
