About me

Parag B. Patel, MD Dr. Patel is a native of New Jersey and has been in practice with Medicor Cardiology since 2004. He is a graduate of Rutgers College of Engineering and UMDNJ- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular training at Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Patel then completed additional fellowship training in interventional cardiology and endovascular approaches at Yale School of Medicine. He is proficient in all aspects of adult cardiovascular care and specializes in minimally invasive endovascular treatments including carotid, renal, and peripheral vascular interventions. Currently, he serves as cardiac catheterization lab director at Somerset Medical Center and performs a high volume of complex coronary interventions utilizing both radial and femoral access sites. Also, he heads the vascular lab at Medicor Cardiology and performs office vascular interpretations including carotid, aorta, renal, peripheral arterial and venous ultrasound studies. Dr. Patel has multiple board certifications including Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Vascular and Endovascular Medicine, and Physician Vascular Interpretation. He is a member of the medical staff of Somerset Medical Center, Morristown Medical Center, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
