this space will talk about conditions we treat for foot and ankle, and how you treat it.
The foot is a complex part of the body, containing many joints, nerves, and small bones. Since the foot bears the full weight of the human body whenever we stand, walk or run, the foot is prone to many injuries. Some injuries may occur due to strenuous sports activities; others may be the result of genetic deformities, improper footwear, or overuse.

Cartilage Repair
Cartilage is a connective tissue found many parts of the body, including in the foot and ankle. While cartilage damage in the feet and ankles has historically been treated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to reduce pain and inflammation, there are now many other methods of combating the problem, only a few of them surgical. We are trained in a variety of cartilage reparation treatments where you will heal faster:
- Fresh osteochondral allograft transplantation
- Juvenile allograft transplantation
- Platelet rich plasma treatment
- Bone marrow stimulation
- Bone marrow aspirate
- Matrix-induced autologous chondrocyte implantation (MACI)
