Veterans entering the workforce

At Atlantic Health, we proudly honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans. As part of our commitment to inclusion, we provide comprehensive resources that support their physical, emotional and professional well-being.

We recognize the unique skills and experiences veterans bring to the workplace, such as leadership, resilience and teamwork, and we are dedicated to helping them translate those strengths into meaningful careers across our organization.

We ensure that veterans have all the tools necessary to enter the civilian workforce with an employer who offers competitive pay and benefits, as well as opportunities for career growth and development in an engaging work environment.

Atlantic Health collaborates with a range of military and veteran organizations to connect veterans and their spouses with career opportunities that align with their skills and experience. We use military occupational codes to connect military experience with our roles. We also offer specialty veteran services such as the True North Behavioral Health program, which can help veterans transition to their new life with Atlantic Health. And, for those who are still actively serving in the US reserves, we offer reservist differential pay.

Team members also have the opportunity to join the Veterans and Allies Business Resource Group, which provides a community for those who have served, continue to serve through active military or reserve duty, or support those who serve. Whether processing the transition to civilian life or seeking a space to feel connection and pride through different events, this group celebrates inclusion and belonging for the military.

We also put our money to work. Sponsorships and community events include the Knights of Columbus “Bring a Hero Home” program as well as Wreaths Across America, where we invite our team members to honor veterans every December.
