At Atlantic Medical Group Primary Care at Oakland, we work hard to build supportive relationships with patients, caregivers and families. 

Our practice is dedicated to maintaining the well-being, vitality and independence of adults. As primary care physicians, we provide the first contact with many patients who may have new or existing health concerns. 

Some of are services are provided through Chilton Medical Center. Our areas of expertise include:

  • Acute sick visits, with same-day appointments available
  • Adult and adolescent medicine (age 16 and older)
  • Assessment of acute illness and symptoms (such as, fever, cough, headache, dizziness, pain)
  • Individual and family counseling
  • Minor office surgery
  • Non-surgical orthopedics
  • Care for chronic health conditions, such as:
    - Asthma or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
    - Diabetes
    - High blood cholesterol
    - High blood pressure
    - Overactive thyroid
  • Yearly physical examinations, including college-bound physicals
  • Health promotion and lifestyle guidance, including disease screening and early identification of at-risk patients
  • Screenings for heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes, osteoporosis and for cancers such as breast or colon immunizations, such as InfluenzaHepatitis A & Hepatitis B, Meningitis, Pneumococcal 23, Prevnar 13, Tetanus, Diphtheria (Td –Tetanus), Tdap – tetanus diphtheria, pertussis and shingles
  • Medical testing such as strep throat, Mantoux, Influenza, and urinalysis
  • Pre-operative consultation service
  • EKGs
  • Care of the older adult, including “Welcome to Medicare” for those 65 years of age and an annual wellness visits thereafter
  • Care coordination and management, including post-acute care, transitions of care, palliative care and high risk, complex care for adults with multiple chronic conditions
  • Referral to specialists and coordination of care
  • On site laboratory for blood draw (Tuesdays and Thursdays only)
  • Population-based chronic disease and complex care management
  • Referral to medical and surgical specialists, if needed
