Chilton Medical Center Announces New President

February 2016, Pompton Plains, NJ – Stephanie Bloom, FACHE, MA, has been appointed president of Chilton Medical Center, and vice president, Atlantic Health System. Chilton Medical Center, located in Pompton Plains, is a member of Atlantic Health System, one of the largest non-profit health care systems in New Jersey. It includes Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ; Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ; Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ; and Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, NJ, as well as Atlantic Rehabilitation, and Atlantic Home Care and Hospice.

Stephanie Bloom brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, specifically in community hospital operations and management, to her role at Chilton Medical Center. She recently served as president and CEO of Community Medical Center, a 592-bed hospital within Barnabas Health System, located in Toms River, NJ. During her tenure, Stephanie developed and implemented a strategic vision for the hospital that was based on the elevation of clinical services, including the implementation of an interventional and cardiac program, a neuroscience institute and the enhancement of oncology services.

Bloom also served as chief operating officer and senior vice president of Southern Ocean County Hospital, a 142-bed community hospital in Manahawkin, where she led an initiative to implement a carotid stenting program through a collaboration of vascular surgeons, radiologists and cardiologists. In addition, Bloom has held various leadership roles at Holy Redeemer Health System in Pennsylvania and Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Maryland.

She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
