Radiology

A prescription is typically required for imaging tests. However, many mammograms can be scheduled without one. Please contact your imaging location ahead of your appointment to confirm any specific requirements.

Chilton, Hackettstown, Morristown, Newton and Overlook medical centers

All tests and procedures offered at our radiology locations require an appointment, except X-rays, which in most cases are performed on a walk-in basis. Call 1-844-264-2250 to make an appointment

CentraState Medical Center

• Specialized X-rays, CT scans, nuclear medicine tests, ultrasounds, and interventional radiology procedures: please call 732-294-2778 to schedule an appointment.
• MRI or PET scans: please call 732-462-3716 to schedule an appointment.

When you arrive for your appointment, please present:

• Picture identification and insurance cards
• Pre-certification – check with your insurance provider prior to scheduling an appointment if this is required
• Signed prescription with proper diagnosis code (ICD-9 code) – is required for all procedures

Please note that wait times vary depending on the volume of patients being seen at the time of  your arrival.

We participate in a wide range of medical insurance plans, but we encourage you to check with your insurer to verify that the specific imaging service prescribed will be covered, and whether any co-pays or deductibles may apply.
