Robert Adams

Robert Adams, MBA, MPA, FACHE is the President of Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center and Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center, where he is directly responsible for overseeing all operations within the region and ensuring the quality, safety and financial integrity of the hospitals and their ambulatory operations.

Since his arrival to Atlantic Health in 2019, Mr. Adams has become embedded within the communities that the hospitals serve and brings his wealth of knowledge as a community hospital leader.

Under Mr. Adams’ leadership, both Atlantic Health Hackettstown and Atlantic Health Newton have earned numerous quality awards and designations from organizations including, the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Healthgrades, The Leapfrog Group and U.S. News & World Report.

Prior to joining Atlantic Health, Mr. Adams served as Chief Operating Officer and then as President of Southern Ocean Medical Center, Hackensack Meridian Health.

Mr. Adams received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rider University and two Master’s Degrees – one in Public Administration from Seton Hall University and one in Business Administration from Monmouth University. He holds board certified in health care management status (FACHE) in the American College of Healthcare Executives, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence. In 2010, Mr. Adams received the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Early Career Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award. This award recognizes ACHE affiliates who have significantly contributed toward the advancement of healthcare management excellence and the achievement of the goals of ACHE.
