Rummage sale

We accept a huge variety of merchandise in sellable condition for our 25 departments including clothing, furniture, household goods, kitchenware, décor items, sporting goods, electronics, appliance, lighting, tools, toys and seasonal goods.

Please donate gently used items that can be sold “as-is.”

We greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness in donating items to our rummage sale. When gathering items, please understand that we are unable to accept every item. Space for storage, display and sale is limited and we must follow environmental and safety regulations.

The longest lines to donate are at the beginning and at the end of the donation period and on weekends. Please feel free to contact us with questions about specific items, particularly large and heavy ones.

Guidelines

To help keep your donation process simple and efficient, we suggest loading items into your vehicle in this order:

1. Computers, including peripherals and software. These will be unloaded last.

2. Books. Because books are heavy, please place books in sturdy bags or boxes with no more than 15 pounds in each.

3. Furniture and large items

4. Sporting goods, including exercise machines (not all may be accepted)

5. Electrical and optical equipment. Includes anything with a plug or batteries that must be tested before resale

6. Miscellaneous items

7. Please do not drop off outside of donation period.

No. Please understand that we are unable to accept every item that is offered. Space for storage, display and sale is limited. Unfortunately, the cost to dispose of unsaleable items increases each sale, and we also must follow environmental and safety regulations

No, we are unable to pick up donations. All items to be donated must be dropped off at the Far Hills Fairgrounds during Donation Days from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm Monday – Saturday.  Do not leave any donations at the Fairground after donation hours and dates.

Yes, Rummage takes place rain or shine. In the event of intense weather leading to a time change or cancellation please refer to the Rummage Sale Hotline 908-522-3538 and social media.

We have handicap parking and wheelchair routes to the tents. Because the event is in an outdoor field, the terrain may be rocky, uneven, and muddy.

Dogs are allowed on the Fair Grounds but are not permitted inside the tents. Service dogs with proper credentials are permitted, but please be prepared to provide proof of service.

Parking is available on the main Rummage Sale campus and at Moorland Farms each day, located at the corner of Rt. 202 and Liberty Corner Rd (across from the Far Hills Train Station). Shuttle busses will run non-stop from 8:30 am – 4pm from Moorland Farms to the Rummage Sale. Shuttle stops will be clearly marked with signs.

• Please respect all “No Parking” placards throughout the Borough of Far Hills and at the fairgrounds.

Yes, the Far Hills Volunteer Fire Department serves a variety of breakfast and lunch items, as well as snacks. 

No. There are no outside vendors at the Rummage Sale. Any comments or claims to sell vendor space is false.  

Yes, the Lost & Found is in the Main Barn, within the Children’s Dept. Atlantic Visiting Nurse is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

No, we do not offer delivery service for items purchased at Rummage. 

All sales are final. We regret to inform you that no refunds will be granted under any circumstances. Additionally, please note that we cannot be held responsible for any items sold and Atlantic Health System, Inc. disclaims any and all liability arising or related to the goods sold, including without limitation any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
