About me
Alberto Batarseh, MD, is a cardiologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he has more than five years of experience treating diseases of the cardiovascular system including genetic heart defects, heart rhythm disorders, heart failure, and coronary artery disease. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry, summa cum laude, from Rutgers University-Newark College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Batarseh earned his medical degree from Rutgers University- New Jersey Medical School, Newark, NJ. He then performed a residency in internal medicine at George Washington University, Washington, DC, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Rutgers University-Robert Wood Johnson SOM, New Brunswick, NJ, where he also served as chief fellow. Prior to joining AMG, he served as a noninvasive cardiologist at Morristown Medical Center and an outpatient practice in Piscataway, NJ, as well as an internal medicine per diem overnight hospitalist at Washington DC Veterans Affairs Hospital and George Washington Medical Faculty Associates, Washington, DC.
Dr. Batarseh has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, delivered numerous national presentations, and is a member of the professional organizations the American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
