Amit V Patel, MD

Amit V. Patel, MD, FACS, RPVI, is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery, he specializes in angioplasty, peripheral vascular disease, varicose veins, vascular disease, wound care, endovascular surgery, minimally invasive surgery and aortic aneurysm. He is also certified as a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI), which documents the highest standard in vascular ultrasound interpretation.

With more than 20 years of experience in vascular surgery, Dr. Patel also has significant clinical research trial experience as principal investigator for studies examining the safety and effectiveness of a wide variety of advanced aortic, carotid and thoracic stents and graft systems. These trials include devices from a wide range of medical device manufacturers, as Dr. Patel seeks the best results for his patients. He has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at national conferences.

After earning his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY, Dr. Patel performed his residency in general surgery at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, also in the Bronx. He completed a fellowship vascular surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Dr. Patel is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, American Medical Association, Morris County Medical Society, Medical Society of New Jersey. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
