Andrew Tyler Robinson, MD

Dr. Andrew Robinson is a board certified general surgeon joining Dr. Paul Starker at Overlook Surgical Associates, with privileges at Overlook Medical Center. His expertise is in minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures that spare muscle, tissue, and provide patients with quicker recovery times and improved outcomes. Dr. Robinson is an assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons and strives to consistently deliver exceptional and individualized patient care. While performing his surgical residency at Morristown Medical Center, Dr. Robinson received the Hughes D. Dougan, MD award for outstanding chief resident as selected by fellow residents. He also taught residents at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School, where he was nominated for a resident teaching award. Dr. Robinson attended St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada for his medical degree after graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from St. Mary’s College of California in Moraga, CA. His work experience also includes training at John Muir Hospital in Lafayette, CA, where he supported patients in the emergency department and assisted in the trauma room. His research includes work for the New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Physicians and serving as a research assistant at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. To stay current, Dr. Robinson maintains membership in the American Medical Association and the American College of Surgeons. He is part of the Atlantic Medical Group and a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
