Andrzej P Torbus, MD

Dr. Torbus is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in chemical biology from Stevens Institute of Technology and received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. His residency in internal medicine, where he served as chief resident, was at Overlook Medical Center.Dr. Torbus received the Palliative Care Award (Overlook Medical Center) for his compassionate and empathetic care of patients and their families. He also received the Community Health Center at Vauxhall Certificate of Recognition and earned the distinction of the Michael Bernstein, MD, MACP Recognition Award (teacher in internal medicine).Recently, Dr. Torbus completed Cornell University's certificate program in Nutrition and Healthy Living. He also has completed coursework in applying functional medicine in clinical practice and is an active member of The Institute for Functional Medicine. He has a profound interest in education and thus incorporates this aspect into his practice, making sure that each patient is aware and informed of his or her health through a combination of direct communication and education.
