Anirudh Kapoor, MD

Dr. Anirudh Kapoor is a neurohospitalist who performs inpatient consultation at Chilton Medical Center. He completed specialized training to care for acutely ill, clinically complex patients will all types of neurological conditions. Board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, he is fellowship-trained in neurophysiology and has clinical expertise in treating inpatients with a broad range of neurologic diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, encephalitis, seizures and stroke.

After earning a medical degree from Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India,Dr. Kapoor served as a medical officer before seeking graduate medical education in the U.S. He was accepted to and performed an internal medicine residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, IL, and a residency in neurology at North Shore University Hospital/Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Manhasset, NY. Following his residency, Dr. Kapoor served as a general neurologist for a year before pursuing a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at SUNY Downstate Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Kapoor is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Neurology, and the American Medical Association. He has been published in the peer-reviewed journal Neurology and presented at conferences. Dr. Kapoor is a member of Atlantic Medical Group and a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
