Arielle Urman, MD, is an oncologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she diagnoses and treats a broad range of oncologic and hematologic disorders. She subspecializes in the management of gastrointestinal malignancies, including esophageal, gastric, colorectal, anal, pancreatic, bile duct, gallbladder, liver, and neuroendocrine cancers. Dr. Urman is dedicated to guiding patients through every stage of their cancer journey with empathy, clear communication, and a strong focus on patient-centered care. She incorporates advanced genetic analyses and offers a full spectrum of treatments—including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologic therapies, targeted agents, and investigational drugs available through clinical trials—and partners closely with specialists in gastroenterology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, surgery, and palliative care to develop personalized, multidisciplinary treatment plans.
Dr. Urman earned her medical degree from the College of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, NY, where she graduated first in her class and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism honor societies. She completed her internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, where she served as a clinical fellow at Harvard Medical School, followed by a fellowship in medical oncology at Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, MD. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, presented numerous abstracts and oral presentations at national meetings, and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
