Ashish Ashvin Shah, DO

Ashish Ashvin Shah, DO, MSc, is a fellowship-trained hematologist/oncologist with Advanced Care Oncology and Hematology (ACOHA), part of Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in medical oncology and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he has more than 15 years of experience treating blood diseases and various forms of cancer. Dr. Shah’s clinical interests span a wide spectrum, from acute and chronic leukemia to lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic disease, and various types of cancer, including lung, colorectal, breast, ovarian, and neuroendocrine tumors. He has extensive knowledge and experience in these conditions.

After earning his osteopathic medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Shah completed an internal medicine residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He completed a hematology and oncology fellowship also at Robert Wood Johnson. Previously, he completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in neuroscience at Southern Connecticut State University.

Prior to joining AMG, Dr. Shah served as director of leukemia/lymphoma services and co-director of the adolescent and young adult oncology program at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for seven years. He also served as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. Dr. Shah joined ACOHA in 2016.

Dr. Shah is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American Osteopathic Association, and American Association of Physicians from India. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
