Asim Hussain, MD

Asim Hussain, MD, is an internist and hospitalist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Hussain specializes in diagnosing and treating patients with chronic and acute illnesses. He has a strong interest in quality and process improvement and is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. 

After earning his medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine in the Caribbean Netherlands, he completed his internal medicine internship and residency at St. Francis Medical Center in New Jersey.

Dr. Hussain has extensive hospitalist experience and has also served as a hospitalist quality improvement coordinator. He has participated in multiple process improvement projects, including efforts to improve the flow of care for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and patients with chest pain. He is certified by the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) to administer care to patients with stroke and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
