Benoit Jefferson Mapa, DO

Benoit Mapa, DO, is an obstetrician/gynecologist specializing in obstetrics, gynecology, and osteopathic medicine with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, he has clinical expertise treating patients with conception planning, prenatal, pregnancy through childbirth, and postpartum care. Dr. Mapa provides comprehensive, compassionate gynecological services for every age and stage of a woman’s life and believes his patients should be an active participant in their care.

After earning his osteopathic medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Bradenton, FL, Dr. Mapa completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ. Prior to Joining AMG, he served as an OBGYN at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He also holds a BS in molecular genetics with honors, magna cum laude, from Ohio State University.

Dr. Mapa has been involved in several research studies, most recently on primary cesarean delivery and maternal complications in obstetrics. He has presented at national conferences, been published in a peer-reviewed journal, and is a fellow in practice of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
