About me
Brian Baksa, MD, is a fellowship-trained hematologist/oncologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in internal medicine and board-eligible in hematology and oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Baksa brings experience and interest in treating both benign and malignant disorders of blood as well as various forms of cancer; particularly, sarcoma. He is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized, and compassionate care to all of his patients.
After earning his BA from Villanova University in Villanova, PA, Dr. Baksa obtained his medical degree from the University of Queensland School of Medicine and Ochsner Clinical School in Brisbane, Australia, and New Orleans, LA. He completed his internal medicine residency at Ochsner Health in New Orleans, LA, where he won multiple awards for education and academics. He then joined Atlantic Health working as a hospitalist and supporting the community during the COVID-19 global pandemic as a frontline health care worker, followed by completing a hematology and oncology fellowship, also at Atlantic Health, where he was named chief fellow. As an associate professor of medicine in affiliation with the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, he continues to fulfill his passion for educating fellows, residents, and medical students. He has also authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, delivered numerous national presentations, and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
