Brittany Baptiste, MD

Brittany Baptiste, MD, is a family medicine physician with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, she has clinical expertise diagnosing and treating patients of all ages for general medical needs. A compassionate care provider, Dr. Baptiste is dedicated to providing children through the elderly with high-quality care, including preventive care, routine checkups, health-risk assessments, immunization and screening tests, women’s health issues, acute/chronic condition management and personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

After earning her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscataway, NJ, Dr. Baptiste performed her family medicine residency at Overlook Medical Center, Summit, NJ, with a special concentration in women’s health and obstetrics/gynecology. During her residency, Dr. Baptiste participated in qualitative research on nutrition in medicine, and served on the hospital’s Residency Wellness Committee, Recruitment Committee and Residency Nutrition Committee. Before that, her research revolved around medical students’ outreach to the homeless and indigenous population.

An avid educator, Dr. Baptiste had previously served as a teaching assistant in her medical school’s biomedical careers program creating and delivering course-related materials to undergraduates interested in the health professions, tutored undergraduate students in physics, and tutored/mentored high school students with reading, writing, and literacy-based skills. Prior to joining AMG, Dr. Baptiste provided telehealth consultation for access to medication abortion along with other family medicine providers to rural communities in the U.S.

Dr. Baptiste has been a member of Reproductive Health Education in Family Medicine, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, American Board of Family Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
