Carina Vincenza Betz, APN

Carina V. Betz, APN, with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG) Urology, is a nurse practitioner specializing in issues related to the upper and lower urinary tract system, which includes the kidneys, the ureters, the bladder, and the urethra. She provides compassionate, personalized care to deliver the best outcomes possible for her patients. The practice provides comprehensive urological care from advanced robotic surgery to prostate cancer treatment, kidney stones, urinary incontinence and more. Carina initiated the overactive bladder and urinary incontinence program at AMG Urology. She is trained in peripheral tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS), which is a potential treatment option for select patients. Also, she provides patients with a care pathway that gives them optimal treatments and best outcomes.

Carina earned her master’s degree in adult gerontology as a nurse practitioner from Villanova University, Villanova, PA after earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the same university. Previously, she earned a registered nursing degree from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in Reading, PA. She is licensed by the state of New Jersey as an advanced practice nurse and certified in adult gerontology by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and NIH Stroke Scale certified. Carina is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of the American Urological Association and the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates.

Prior to earning her nurse practitioner degree, Carina served as a float pool RN specializing in urology and oncology among other conditions. She also served in critical care units, surgical and post-surgical units. While in graduate school, Carina was a graduate assistant at Villanova, she used her nursing skills and experience to tutor undergraduate students at the college of nursing. She performed rotations in cardiology, pain management, primary care, rehabilitation and long-term care. Before joining AMG, she served on a rapid response team at a large hospital managing all rapid responses and cardiac emergencies.
