About me
Christopher Heitzman, DO, is an osteopathic family physician with Atlantic Medical Group. Board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, he has clinical expertise treating all ages for a wide variety of medical needs including preventive care and the management of acute and chronic conditions. Attentive and thorough, Dr. Heitzman listens to concerns, explains thing carefully, and works in partnership with patients to help them achieve optimal health.
Dr. Heitzman earned his degree in osteopathic medicine from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Stratford, NJ, and completed his residency in family medicine at Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Paterson, NJ, where he was chief resident. Prior to joining Atlantic Medical Group, he maintained a solo practice for over 15 years providing outpatient family medicine services.
Dr. Heitzman is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.

- 2.4Feb 21, 2026The doctor speeds through and mumbles evaluation questions, doesnt really give you a chance to give an answer. I always feel rushed and seems very uninterested about my care. Makes me feel like I'm just another number. This happened the first time he cared for me, 3 years ago. Then I experienced the same thing this last visit. I'm sure he's a good doctor, but he has to work on his people skills. Especially if he's a primary.
