Christopher F Wu, MD

Christopher Wu, MD, is a fellowship-trained sports medicine specialist with Atlantic Medical Group. Board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in sports medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine, he has clinical expertise treating a variety of patients, from high school student athletes to professional athletes, as well as everyday adults with musculoskeletal injuries. He provides early and accurate diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries or dysfunction and believes in educating patients to prevent injury or further damage. Dr. Wu strives to use conservative treatment options whenever possible, to support patients’ rapid, but safe, return to sport or physical activity.

After earning his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies, Dr. Wu performed his internal medicine residency at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. He then completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ, where he worked with athletic trainers on a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal injuries and concussion management/return to play treatment, as well as sideline game coverage for various teams including Newark Academy, Seton Hall University Pirates and the New York Jets. He also received additional training in diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound-guided joint injections.

In addition to English, Dr. Wu is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
