Colin Harris, MD

Colin B. Harris, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon with Atlantic Medical Group Orthopedics at Paramus. Board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he completed a fellowship in spine surgery and has extensive training and experience in minimally invasive surgical procedures including robotic spine surgery and motion-sparing techniques. Whenever possible he utilizes these techniques to help his patients recover quickly and return to an active and healthy lifestyle. Dr. Harris takes time to carefully evaluate his patients to identify the source of pain and determine the best course of treatment. With over 10 years of experience, he aims to deliver the highest quality of care, from minor orthopedic concerns to the most serious spinal conditions, and works closely with physical therapists, pain management physicians, and physiatrists. Dr. Harris has consistently been named a New Jersey Monthly Magazine Top Doctor in New Jersey by his peers and is the recipient of numerous awards and honors. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS), a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS), and a member of numerous professional societies including the North American Spine Society, the New Jersey Orthopedic Society, and the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. After earning his medical degree from New York Medical College, Dr. Harris completed his residency at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. He pursued fellowship training at Rush University in Chicago, IL, ranked among the top programs in the nation for spine surgery. He has served as assistant professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School and is active teaching residents and medical students as well as lecturing on spine surgery topics. He has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and remains actively involved in the development of new technology within the field of spine surgery.
