Daniel R Schwartz, MD

Daniel Richard Schwartz, MD, is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he has over 35 years of experience treating diseases of the heart and blood vessels including heart failure, coronary artery disease, and hypertension. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are well educated about their condition and treatment.

Dr. Schwartz obtained his BA in chemistry, summa cum laude, from Hamilton College, Clinton, NY, before earning his medical degree from Washington University Medical School, St. Louis, MO. He then performed a residency in medicine at NY Hospital / Cornell University Medical Center, New York, NY, followed by fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at NY Medical College, Valhalla, NY. Prior to joining AMG, Dr. Schwartz served as the BARI Trial medical director at NY Medical College, an interventional cardiologist at Southwest Florida Heart Group, Fort Myers, FL, and GUSTO-V Trial principal investigator at Lee Memorial Hospital, also in Fort Myers. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, delivered numerous presentations, and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
