David M. Schreck, MD, MS, FACP, FACEP, FHM Dr. David Schreck is corporate vice president of Atlantic Health System. He is responsible for care transitions across the enterprise, including emergency medicine, hospital medicine, urgent care, and post-acute care. He also plays a key role in care integration for the physician practices of the Atlantic Medical Group. Dr. Schreck is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick. He is past chairman of emergency medicine and hospital medicine at Summit Medical Group, past vice chairman of the Department of Medicine at Overlook Medical Center and a former adjunct professor of Chemical Biology and Physiology at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken. Dr. Schreck has served as chairman of emergency medicine at Capital Health System in and Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, as vice president of Business Development and Strategic Affairs for Emergency Medical Associates of NJ and as president and medical director of Emergency Medical Associates’ urgent care, primary care and hospitalist divisions. After earning a dual BS degree in chemistry and MS degree in Biomedical Engineering-Science from Stevens Institute of Technology, Dr. Schreck completed his MD degree at Loyola University Chicago - Stritch School of Medicine and dual residency programs in internal medicine and emergency medicine as a visiting clinical fellow of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. As a nationally recognized emergency physician and hospitalist, Dr. Schreck has extensive research experience in developing and implementing medical devices including cardiac monitors, ECG diagnostic applications and his invention of the nitinol cardiovascular catheter stent. Dr. Schreck has more than 30 years of point-of-care experience in the emergency department and in primary/urgent care practice. He has an expansive bibliography of clinical research and he has lectured nationally on a number of related topics. When Dr. Schreck is not thinking about strategic growth, he enjoys sports, brewing homemade craft beers, traveling and playing the guitar.
