Debra Camal, MD

Debra Camal, MD, is a breast surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of breast cancer and benign breast disease. Board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery, she has more than 20 years of experience treating breast cancer and other benign breast conditions. After earning her medical degree from State University of New York/Downstate Medical Center, Dr. Camal completed a surgical internship at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital and a general surgery residency at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (currently Rutgers Health/NJ Medical School), where she served as chief resident. She has served as medical director of the breast programs at Monmouth Medical Center and Riverview Medical Center. Dr. Camal is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Medical Society of New Jersey and the Monmouth County Medical Society. She has been the recipient of multiple honors and awards, including New Jersey Monthly “Top Doctor” in Breast Surgery for 14 consecutive years. She is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
