About me
Ebube A. Bakosi, MD, is a general surgeon with Atlantic Medical Group and board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is particularly interested in hepatic and biliary disease, as well as abdominal surgery using minimally invasive techniques. His approach is patient-centered, with a focus on developing a patient-physician relationship in order to create an atmosphere of trust, reliability and availability.
Dr. Bakosi follows a multispecialty team approach philosophy regarding patient care. With open and frequent communication between different providers, he believes the most effective and efficient care can be achieved, resulting in optimal patient care.
Born in West Virginia, Dr. Bakosi grew up in Nigeria and the Bronx, NY. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University School of Physicians and Surgeons, New York City, and performed his residency at Morristown Medical Center, where he was named chief resident. Dr. Bakosi then completed his fellowship in organ transplantation at the Thomas E. Starlz Transplantation Institute at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Bakosi is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
