Eliezer Weiss, MD

Eliezer Weiss, MD, is a gastroenterologist with Atlantic Health, specializing in diseases and disorders of the digestive system. Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology and internal medicine, and fellowship-trained in gastroenterology, Dr. Weiss cares for patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases, helping them lead active and healthy lives.

Dr. Weiss treats a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders and utilizes state-of-the-art technologies for endoscopic procedures. He is proficient in performing colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, esophageal manometry and anorectal manometry, and hemorrhoidal banding. He treats his patients with skill and compassion, understanding that gastrointestinal disorders present unique challenges for day-to-day living. He enjoys interacting with patients to develop an individualized treatment plan. Dr. Weiss has published on a wide range of topics in many peer-reviewed journals and presented at several national conferences.

After earning his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY, Dr. Weiss completed his residency in internal medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. He remained at SUNY to pursue fellowship training in gastroenterology where he served as chief fellow. He also participated in the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society clinical training program at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, and later became certified in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support from the American Heart Association.

Dr. Weiss is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology. He speaks Spanish and Hebrew. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
