Faizanahmed Irfan Munshi, MD

Faizanahmed I. Munshi, MD, is a urologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG) specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment. He is experienced in both the medical and surgical management of urologic conditions including kidney stones, enlarged prostate, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, hydrocele, phimosis, male infertility, testicular pain, genitourinary infections and urologic trauma. He also treats urologic cancers, with a focus on kidney, bladder, testicular and prostate cancer. He is committed to implementing new technologies to urologic patient care, such as the latest advancements in ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy for stone disease and a variety of new minimally invasive surgical therapies (MISTs) for benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH).

Dr. Munshi earned a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, with a double major in cell biology and neuroscience and history from Rutgers University and his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. He then completed his urologic surgery residency at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI, where he also served as chief resident. He has experience mentoring premedical and medical students through Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, including career advisement in urology. He is a member of professional organizations including the American Urological Association (AUA) and the American Board of Urology. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, as well as delivered presentations at international conferences including the AUA Annual Meeting and the World Congress of Endourology & Uro-Technology. He is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi and is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
