Faraj Touchan, MD

Faraj Touchan, MD, is a minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgeon, and one of few board certified in minimally-invasive surgery in northern New Jersey. He has performed thousands of procedures for women with fibroids and endometriosis, as well as urogynecologic and infertility procedures. Dr. Touchan is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Touchan provides advanced laparoscopic surgical procedures for complex gynecological conditions and has remained on the cutting edge of innovative gynecological care. In addition to treating high-risk obstetrics patients, his special skills have proven helpful for women seeking relief from painful gynecological issues. Experienced, thorough and knowledgeable, he brings patience and understanding to each patient encounter. Dr. Touchan is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and FLS certified (Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery) by the American College of Surgeons, providing a strong foundation for his practice and serving as a mentor for residents in training. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG). Originally from Syria, Dr. Touchan earned his degree from the University of Aleppo in Syria and then came to the United States to pursue his residency in OB/GYN at the Sisters of Charity Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Buffalo in NY. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
