Hanan Tawadrous, MD

Hanan Tawadrous, MD, is a pediatric nephrologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology by the American Board of Pediatrics, she has more than 15 years of diagnosing and treating kidney-related conditions and disorders in infants, children and adolescents. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to all patients and ensuring they are educated about their condition and treatment.

Dr. Tawadrous earned her medical degree from Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine, then completed an internal medicine internship at El-Sahel El-Talemi Medical Center and an internal medicine residency at Ministry of Health in Cairo, Egypt. She then earned her master in internal medicine from Cairo University School of Medicine and served an internal medicine residency at Ministry of Health, followed by completing a pediatric residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark, NJ, and a pediatric nephrology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. With prior experience as a primary care and internal medicine physician abroad, she is an attending physician of pediatrics at Morristown Medical Center and has held academic appointments as an assistant and associate professor of pediatrics at leading medical schools, including the University of Connecticut, New York Medical College, SUNY College of Medicine and St. George’s University. She has taught medical students, residents and fellows in pediatric nephrology through lectures, clinical rounds, grand rounds and board curriculum development.
