About me
Harpal (Paul) Khanuja, MD, is an internationally recognized hip and knee replacement surgeon with more than 20 years of clinical and academic experience. He comes from Johns Hopkins University as a professor of orthopaedic surgery and former leader within one of the nation’s premier institutions.
Dr. Khanuja is known for combining advanced surgical expertise with compassionate, personalized care. Patients seek him for both routine and complex hip and knee conditions, as well as his thoughtful approach to helping patients make informed decisions.
He works closely with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan focused on relieving pain, restoring mobility, and helping patients return to the activities they enjoy most. He is committed to delivering outstanding outcomes through evidence-based care, innovation, and patient education.
Dr. Khanuja has expertise in the anterior hip replacement, minimally invasive surgeries, robotics, and revision procedures. He is available for second opinions and can accommodate tele visits for Maryland residents.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, The Hip Society, and The Knee Society.
